REFERENCE STALLION

WAR CHIEFS PRIDE

'Drifter' is senior stallion at Susan George's Rockfield Equine in Wales. We like his reputation as a sire, his sound, solid conformation and his excellent legs and feet. He has tested 5-panel negative. His offspring have the get up and go to get the job done, sound structure to carry on doing it and minds that can take pressure without getting silly. As a bonus they have the quality to win AQHA or FQHA classes. We have used him at stud in the hope of getting breeding stock to retain.

Drifter's pedigree is that classical mix of working ranch horse with a dash of top running blood; his close family are using horses who've made their names at top level on the pro rodeo circuit. He represents an outcross to most of the bloodlines available in the UK and his 'old' pedigree has close links to some of the true legends of the early days of the registry.

,
CROTON GRAY Sire of 4 NFR roping horses, Croton Gray is nicely linebred to Quarter Horse legends Driftwood and Joe Hancock.
PAY YOU WEDNESDAY A red dun sister to a 4 times NFR roping horse.
FATHERS PRIDE Sired by 1947 AQHA Champion Racing Stallion Pelican and out of the much sought-after Sage Hen female family.
MAHALA HANCOCK Full sister of War Drift and War Concho, both very infuential stallions in working horse circles of their time. Sired by War Chief, born in 1938, a son of Joe Hancock and out of the good mare Brown Beulah.
ONE MORE COPY Bred from some of the top running bloodlines of his day, sired by Duplicate Copy, 1966 and 1967 AQHA Champion Racing Stallion. A recognised sire of good roping horses.
FANCY FLEECE Her sire is a grandson of Pacific Bailey and Overtime Leo who was a leading maternal grandsire of race ROM. Fancy Fleece is out of a mare from mostly good old Foundation horses, from whom she inherited the dun gene she passed on to War Chiefs Pride. Fancy Fleece though her female tail line traces to one of the founding English Thoroughbred mare lines.

Here is Wilden Cowboy Classic, our 2013 colt by War Chiefs Pride out of Kernow Amba Moet. Cowboy is a very correct youngster; he has been panel tested N/N and we are retaining him as stud prospect.
